Day 1:

Arrival in Luang Prabang – The Timeless First Glimpse (D)

Welcome to Luang Prabang – the spiritual heart of Laos and a UNESCO World Heritage treasure. Upon arrival, our guide will warmly greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Nestled among lush mountains and the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, this city breathes a rare harmony between nature and heritage. In the evening, immerse yourself in an enchanting welcome dinner accompanied by traditional dance and folk songs – your first taste of Laos’ rich culture.

Afterwards, feel free to stroll through the quiet streets of Luang Prabang, letting the lantern lights and ancient temples whisper the city’s timeless charm.

Day 2:

Luang Prabang – Sacred Traditions & Kuang Si Waterfalls (B/L)

Rise with the sun to witness one of Laos’ most sacred traditions – the morning alms-giving ceremony, where hundreds of saffron-robed monks silently collect offerings from devoted locals. Afterwards, wander through the vibrant morning market, where daily life unfolds in its most authentic form.

Following breakfast, explore the Royal Palace Museum, the elegant Wat Xieng Thong, and the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Center, each revealing unique stories of Laos’ royal past, sacred architecture, and diverse ethnic heritage. At Ock Pop Tok Living Craft Center, you’ll meet artisans preserving ancient weaving traditions.

In the afternoon, journey to the breathtaking Kuang Si Waterfalls, cascading into turquoise pools inviting you for a refreshing swim. Walk through shaded trails, visit the Bear Rescue Centre and the Butterfly Park before returning to Luang Prabang. End the day with a climb up Phousi Hill for a mesmerizing sunset view over the Mekong River.

Day 3:

Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves – Pakbeng (B/L)

Early in the morning, board a traditional boat and set sail upstream on the mighty Mekong. Enjoy a French-style breakfast on deck as the river awakens with life. En route, stop at the mystical Pak Ou Caves, where thousands of Buddha statues rest within sacred limestone chambers.

Savor a delicious Lao lunch onboard, then spend a leisurely afternoon gliding past untouched landscapes and remote riverside villages. As dusk paints the sky, arrive at the charming town of Pakbeng, where you will spend the night surrounded by the tranquil rhythm of the Mekong.

Day 4:

​Pakbeng – Oudomxay – Luang Namtha (B/L)

Wake early to wander through Pakbeng’s vibrant morning market, where hill-tribe villagers gather to trade fresh produce and forest goods. It’s a vivid glimpse of rural life, filled with colors and authentic smiles.

After lunch, the road journey begins. Winding through misty mountains and lush plantations of corn and banana, the landscapes shift constantly. Passing Oudomxay, once a sleepy town now transformed into a bustling hub, you’ll sense the contrast between change and timeless wilderness.

By late afternoon, arrive in Luang Namtha, a land of rugged mountains and tropical forests bordering China and Myanmar. The river glimmers under the setting sun as you settle into this gateway to the north.

Day 5:

​Luang Namtha – Cultural Encounters & Homestay (B/L/D)

Today begins with cultural discovery. Visit the Luang Namtha Museum and the sacred stupa for sweeping views of the town. Then, explore nearby ethnic villages: the Tai Dam and Tai Deang communities, where traditional weaving, Lao whisky making, and bamboo crafts are still practiced as they have been for generations.

Continue to Ban Nam Dee, home of the Lanten people. Here, you’ll not only observe but also participate in learning to make paper from bamboo, natural dyeing, weaving, and joining in a soulful Baci ceremony. Share local meals, stories, and music before spending the night in a warm homestay.

Day 6:

​Luang Namtha – Oudomxay – Namkat Yola Pa (B/L)

Wake up to the gentle rhythm of village life, sharing a simple breakfast with your hosts. Bid farewell, carrying with you the warmth of their hospitality.

Travel southwards through mountain passes dotted with ethnic villages, where life unfolds in timeless simplicity. By noon, arrive in Oudomxay, home to 23 different ethnic groups, before continuing to the hidden oasis of Namkat Yola Pa Resort.

Settle into your riverside bungalow embraced by dense jungle. The rest of the day is yours – relax by the pool, listen to the whispers of the forest, or simply breathe in the pure mountain air.

Day 7:

​Namkat waterfalls experience(B/L)

Begin your day with a two-hour cycling journey from the resort, winding gently through thick jungle trails toward the stunning Namkat Waterfall. The fresh scent of the forest and the quiet rhythm of nature accompany each turn of the wheel. Leaving the bikes behind, walk across suspended flying bridges, leading you deeper into the forest and closer to the thunderous falls. At the foot of the cascade, enjoy a charming picnic lunch, letting cool mist refresh both body and spirit. Afterward, feel the rush of adrenaline as you glide on a thrilling zip-line ride, soaring above the canopy back to the entrance point. From there, cycle back to the resort, your heart filled with memories of both serenity and adventure.

Day 8:

​Namkat – Muang Khua – Muang Ngoi (B/L)

This morning, journey to Muang Khua, a charming riverside town near the Vietnam border. Take time to cross its rustic bamboo bridge, linking the town to the H’Mong village of Ban Natoun, where timeless traditions still thrive. From here, board a long-tail boat for a serene cruise down the gentle Nam Ou River, often regarded as one of Laos’s most scenic waterways. The journey unfolds like a moving painting, with limestone cliffs, lush forests, and remote villages along the riverbanks. Stop at Ban Sop Chem, home to the Thai Deang and Khmu people, to witness their humble daily rhythms and cultural heritage. As the sun dips low, arrive in the secluded village of Muang Ngoi, where simplicity meets beauty.

Day 9:

​Muang Ngoi – Tad Mork Waterfalls – Nong Khiaw (B/L)

Begin the morning with a simple village breakfast before setting off on a trek to Ban Na and the mysterious Tham Kaang Cave, long believed to hold supernatural powers. The path then leads toward Tad Mork Waterfall, nestled near the Khmu village of Ban Sop Kong. 

After an hour’s walk, the sound of cascading waters welcomes you, perfect for a refreshing swim and a delightful picnic lunch in nature’s embrace. 

In the afternoon, return to the river and board a boat downstream to Nong Khiaw. The journey passes through a dramatic gorge, with stops at small riverside villages where daily life unfolds untouched by time. As the boat glides into Nong Khiaw, the sky glows with sunset hues, casting reflections on the Nam Ou River.

Day 10:

​Nong Khiaw – The 100 Waterfalls Adventure (B/L)

The day begins gently with a serene boat ride along the Nam Ou River, gliding past misty cliffs and riverside villages. Soon, the journey shifts into adventure as you embark on the legendary 100 Waterfalls Trail. First discovered in 2008, this hidden paradise reveals a world of cascading waters, jungle paths, and shimmering pools inviting you to pause for a refreshing dip. 

Follow your guide through streams and bamboo groves to a local-style picnic served amid the roar of tumbling falls, a moment of pure immersion in nature’s grandeur. As you descend via a mountain trail, sweeping views of the Nam Ou valley unfold, a panorama etched with rice paddies and endless green. Return by boat to Nong Khiaw, carrying the echoes of water and wilderness.

Day 11:

​Nong Khiaw – Ban Son Khua (B/L/D)

Today’s journey takes you deep into Laos’ most untouched landscapes. Driving through winding back roads via Vieng Kham to Muang Hiam, you’ll encounter a land rarely seen by travelers, where rugged mountains and emerald forests shape the horizon. Along the way, rural villagers greet you with genuine curiosity, bridging worlds through simple yet heartfelt exchanges. Though the road may be rough in parts, the beauty of the landscapes and the warmth of the people make each moment unforgettable. Upon reaching Muang Hiam, enjoy time to stroll its quiet streets before continuing to Ban Son Khua, a Khmu village at the edge of the Nam Et–Phou Louay National Protected Area. Tonight, share dinner with your host family and rest in this peaceful village, gateway to tomorrow’s night safari adventure.

Day 12:

​Nam Nern Night Safari (B/L/D)

This morning, journey deep into the Nam Et–Phou Louey National Protected Area, where nature and culture intertwine. From Ban Son Khua, local Khmu guides welcome you with stories of ancient animist traditions before leading you upriver by long-tail boat. Along the way, watch for monitor lizards, exotic birds, and glimpses of daily life in the forested hills. After a simple village lunch, park rangers share inspiring tales of tiger conservation and the fragile balance of the ecosystem. As night falls, venture quietly into the wilderness. By the flicker of one guiding light, float down the river in hushed silence, listening for rustles of civets, deer, and owls under the moonlit canopy. Folktales by the campfire close the night, before resting in your rustic ecolodge.

Day 13:

​Nam Nern – Xieng Khuang (B/L)

Awaken to the whispers of the jungle as your local guide leads a morning walk, revealing the secrets of medicinal plants and stories from the Secret War. After breakfast, drift silently downstream with engines off, spotting birds gliding above the river canopy. Back in the village, share a warm farewell and taste the traditional earthen jar rice wine, lao hai. From here, a scenic three-hour drive takes you to Xieng Khouang, rebuilt after the war and now the gateway to the mysterious Plain of Jars. After checking into your hotel, those with energy may visit the inspiring MAG Center, a moving testament to resilience and renewal.

Day 14:

​Xieng Khuang – Vientiane (B/L)

This morning, journey to Muang Khoun, the old provincial capital that remarkably survived the bombings of the Secret War. Here, ancient pagodas lie in evocative ruins, alongside a unique giant sitting Buddha and the timeworn stupa of Wat Pia Wat, standing as solemn witnesses of centuries past. Returning to town, explore the mystical Plain of Jars, where hundreds of megalithic stone vessels rest upon the windswept plateau. Believed to be over 2,000 years old, their true purpose remains a fascinating mystery. Along the way, encounter vibrant hill tribes Hmong and Tai Dam whose traditions endure despite hardship. 

In the late afternoon, board a short flight to Vientiane, the tranquil yet dynamic capital of Laos. 

Day 15:

​Vientiane – City Tour – Departure (B/L)

On your final morning in Laos, discover the timeless charm of Vientiane. Begin at Wat Sisaket, the city’s oldest temple, where thousands of serene Buddha images line the cloisters, before moving to Wat Prakeo, once home to the Emerald Buddha. Continue to the golden That Luang Stupa, the nation’s most sacred monument, pausing en route to admire the Patuxay Monument—Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe. The morning weaves together spirituality, history, and national pride, offering a graceful farewell to the capital. Afterwards, enjoy free time at leisure before your transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
