Your morning begins in the historic heart of Ho Chi Minh City. With your private guide, your family will visit the Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Central Post Office. The stories shared are simple and engaging, helping both adults and children connect with Vietnam’s past. A gentle walk along nearby Book Street adds a relaxed local touch.

Lunch is a traditional clay-pot rice experience, complete with a lively presentation that often delights younger travelers.

In the afternoon, you’ll step into the calm of Jade Emperor Pagoda. Surrounded by shade and incense, your guide will introduce the basics of Buddhism and the idea of kindness in daily life, shared in a way that feels thoughtful yet easy to understand.

Your day begins early, as your family departs Ho Chi Minh City around sunrise, heading north toward Nam Cat Tien National Park. The drive allows the city to slowly fade behind you, replaced by countryside landscapes and quiet anticipation.

Upon arrival, you’ll cross the Dong Nai River by local ferry, a simple but memorable moment that marks your entry into the protected forest. From here, your guided walk begins. Moving at a comfortable pace, you’ll explore shaded jungle paths, visit the ancient Tung tree and the remarkable “hundred-trunk” fig tree, while your guide introduces the park’s ecosystem in an engaging and accessible way for both adults and children.

Lunch is enjoyed at a local restaurant in or near the park, a relaxed break before the afternoon activities. Later, your family can explore deeper into the park by jeep or bicycle, depending on your preference. A visit to the Bear and Wildlife Rescue Center offers a meaningful opportunity to learn about conservation efforts and the protection of endangered animals, often a highlight for younger travelers.

Arriving at the Cu Chi Tunnels, your family will begin to understand the remarkable underground network that once sheltered and protected local fighters. Rather than focusing only on wartime strategy, your guide will share stories of resilience, ingenuity, and daily survival, helping both parents and older children grasp the human side of history.

A meaningful highlight of the visit is meeting Chu Nam, a former veteran who took part in digging the tunnels. After check-in at your hotel, you’ll have some time to rest and settle in.

In the evening, your guide will take your family on a relaxed walk through the Old Quarter. As you wander through its narrow streets, you’ll hear stories about Hanoi’s history, traditions, and everyday life. The pace is easy, with plenty of pauses to observe, ask questions, and take it all in.

Come with an empty stomach! Tonight is about tasting Hanoi the way locals do. Along the way, you’ll sample 6–8 carefully selected local dishes, each served in authentic neighborhood spots. You’ll also stop by a local wet market, where you can see the colorful display of fresh herbs, spices, and ingredients that shape Vietnamese home cooking. An evening full of flavor, discovery, and shared moments in one of Asia’s most fascinating capitals.

Overnight in Peridot Grand Luxury Boutique Hotel, Hanoi

In the morning, your private driver will pick your family up from your hotel in Hanoi for the journey to Ha Long. The drive takes around 2.5–3 hours along the expressway, giving everyone time to relax and enjoy the changing scenery as the city slowly gives way to open countryside and coastline. Close to midday, you’ll arrive at Tuan Chau Port and check in at the Indochine Lounge. After a short rest and registration, your family will board the Indochine Premium Cruise, be welcomed with a refreshing drink, and attend a brief orientation about the journey ahead.

As the cruise sets sail, a buffet lunch is served in the restaurant. While you enjoy your meal, Ha Long Bay unfolds outside the windows, limestone islands rising quietly from the water. The boat passes iconic formations such as Incense Burner and Kissing Rock, giving you your first real sense of the bay’s scale and beauty.

In the early afternoon, you’ll visit Surprise Cave (or Me Cung Cave) for a guided walk of about 45 minutes. By late afternoon, the cruise anchors for the night. The morning begins quietly on the bay. From 6:00, coffee, tea, and light pastries are available, a simple start to the day as the sun rises over the limestone islands. If you wish, join a gentle Tai Chi session on the sundeck around 6:30. The movements are slow and easy to follow, a calm way to wake up while breathing in the fresh sea air.

Later in the morning, the cruise stops at Titov Island. Here, your family can choose what suits you best , a refreshing swim at the small sandy beach, or a short climb up to the viewpoint for wide, open views across Ha Long Bay. The steps are manageable, and the view at the top is well worth it.

By 9:00, you’ll return to your cabin to freshen up and finish packing. Larger luggage can be left outside your room for the crew to transfer. Brunch is then served onboard while the cruise slowly makes its way back to shore.

Around 11:00, you arrive at Tuan Chau Port. You may relax briefly at the lounge before meeting your driver for returning to Hanoi, marking the end of your time on the bay.
